Ben Ofarim

For me the emphasis in counseling is on the need for a holistic approach; addressing the more challenging and difficult issues (including issues of identity) and carrying the process through until true answers are reached; dialogism – getting to know the person facing me, and establishing a discourse between her personal and cultural baggage, and my own; focusing on the details with an eye to the goal, always keeping in mind a solution that is workable, attuned to the here-and-now – one that is capable of taking the organization and the individual forward, towards the realization of their aims.
I bring to the relationship with the counselee over 20 years of professional experience – the fruit of in-depth encounters with diverse worlds and cultures. Within the world of business-technology I have extensive experience in accompanying processes of growth of companies and organizations. I have been both partner in such enterprises, in the fields of finance, marketing, and business development in various start-up firms, and consultant in the field of change management in major international financial institutions. In the third sector (NGO's) I have worked extensively with individuals and organizations, with a focus on enhancing their management practices and strategies. My exposure to different cultures over years spent living in the US. and England completes this multi-faceted profile.
I hold an MBA from New York University and a BA in political science and Chinese studies from the Hebrew University.
My professional past includes the following titles:
VP Business Development – Zapper Technologies Ltd., TA, Israel
Senior Consultant, UMT Corp., NY, USA (a management consulting company)
CFO, Ubique Ltd., Rehovot, Israel
